Brett joined WMC Group in 2023 as Director of Asset Development, leading the development of chemical processing facilities for the global EV battery industry. Brett brings over 30 years of experience in diverse industrial processing and asset development, spanning across chemical refining, uranium processing and nuclear fuel development. His career in the Canadian uranium mining and nuclear fuel industry progressed from technical and asset development roles to General Manager of the world’s largest uranium mine and mill. Before joining WMC, Brett represented Canada at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), where he served as the global lead at the Agency for the front end of the nuclear fuel cycle.
In his current role, Brett also provides advisory services to external clients, supporting project and business development in the nuclear fuel cycle and the EV battery materials supply chain.
Brett has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a PhD from the University of Saskatchewan.
