The (Senior) Associate Project Developer strengthens Liminal’s project development team by providing analytical depth, coordination, and stakeholder support across technical, commercial, financial, regulatory, and market workstreams. You will work within the Associates team under the guidance of Senior Management, with growing autonomy. You will support the process from early concepts into bankable projects and/or investment opportunities by producing high-quality analysis and materials. In addition, you will work on aligning internal and external stakeholders and developing deep understanding of the applicable critical mineral commodity markets and/or project ecosystems to continuously improve analysis, informed decision making, and accelerate project preparation and execution.
In this role, you will perform market and technical analysis, synthesize findings into clear internal updates and presentations, investor/engineering presentations, and marketing materials, and engage directly with customers and partners to advance project deliverables. As you build experience, you will take ownership of defined workstreams, manage priorities in the company’s weekly project flow, and uphold rigorous quality standards. You will collaborate closely with the whole team and take on significant responsibility for developing the company's project portfolio. This role operates in a stimulating, complex, and fast-paced environment.
• Conducting market analysis and technical analysis (particularly in chemical and mechanical engineering) for prospective projects, and presenting findings through memoranda, investor presentations, engineering presentations, marketing materials and more
• Supporting project development across technical, commercial, financial, regulatory, and market analysis, for current and prospective projects
• Communicating directly with customers and other stakeholders to advance projects and build external relationships
• Developing and maintaining assigned external stakeholder relations to support project advancement
• Building in-depth understanding of battery materials and uranium markets and supply chains, with guidance from the team and Senior Management
• Support subsidy and grant applications, tracking market developments, and proposing new value-adding tasks
• Master of Science degree in natural sciences, engineering, or finance with strong academic results
• 0-2 years' experience for Associate; 2-4 years' for Senior Associate, in strategy consulting, banking, or project development
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proactive, structured, and responsible way of working
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with an affinity for relationship building
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic start-up/scale-up environment with evolving priorities and projects
• Interest and affinity with project development, energy transition and/or minerals & commodities
